Welcome to elmoUnderground!

In Youth Ministries at El Montecito Presbyterian, we have a heart for young people to encounter God, and to fully live in God’s love. We are a body of students, from 5th to 12th grade, and a group of engaged leaders who gather weekly in elmoUnderground, becoming equipped in the Word to BLAST God’s love and live in it’s AfterShock!

Our Ministry Focus:
“Jesus answered by saying, ‘Love the Lord your God  with all your heart, AND  with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” – Matthew 22:37-40 NIV

BLAST (Believing, Living and Sharing Truth):

Who We Are: El Montecito’s 5th-8th Grade Ministry is called “BLAST” because our goal is to Believe in the love of the Lord, Live love out daily, And to Share God’s Truth with others!

Our Semester Focus: TNT: Trust n’ Truth. What does it mean to trust in God? What does it look like to trust in the truth God sets before us? This Fall, come learn about who God is and explore how we can live like a true follower of Him!

When We Meet: Sunday Evenings, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

AfterShock

Who We Are: El Montecito’s 9th-12th Grade Ministry is called “AfterShock” because our goal is to focus on what comes after BLAST. We learn God loves us, and then we live in the AfterShock of loving God and others well.

Our Semester Focus: Heroes of the Bible. Who do we look to in the Bible as true followers of God? How can we develop intentional and tangible practices for living as God asks of us? Come and dig into the Word and learn about our great God.

When We Meet: Wednesday Evenings, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
